Like many businesses across the UK, Gentoo Homes are closely monitoring the Coronavirus (Covid – 19) outbreak and are following advice from the Government.
We would like to reassure our customers that we are working hard to continue to deliver our services in a safe and efficient manor.
The health and safety of our customers, colleagues and sub-contractors is of paramount importance to us and we continue to monitor the situation closely while following the government and public health guidelines.
While we continue to operate a usual service, to help us reduce any risk or spread of the virus we are taking extra precautions.
The Customer Care team will be calling ahead of all appointments to confirm appointments and will be asking:
- Have you tested positive for Coronavirus
- Are you currently self-isolating
- Are you showing any symptoms of Coronavirus, such as a new or persistent cough, a fever, or have shortness of breath
Gentoo Homes are currently operating a normal service, however this may change at any point as the Coronavirus situation is complex and evolving rapidly. We will therefore continue to monitor the situation and provide updates relating to our approach as and when advised. Please refer to our website/this web page for up to date information.
Gentoo Homes Customer Care Team are currently working remotely between the hours of 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Thursday, and 8.30am until 12 noon on a Friday. A member of the team will call you following your email to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you need to speak to a member of the team please call 07736028742 or 07435973798 which will put you in direct communication with one of our Customer Care Managers.
Should you require emergency help outside these hours please contact Safeguard Call Handling Services on 01207 503293.
An emergency consists of the following:-
- Uncontainable water.
- Total loss of heating and/or hot water (seasonal).
- Total loss of electricity (other than a power cut).
- Blocked drains causing a hazard to health and not caused by domestic products.
- Failure of a lock causing safety issue and not caused maliciously.
Safeguard Call Handling Services will take any necessary action following your call and inform the Customer Care Team.
If you smell gas, please contact Transco immediately on 0800 111999. Then report the issue to Gentoo Homes as above.
