In the interest of public health and our practices in place it is not possible to gain access to any of our show homes or homes at the moment. However, we have a range of house styles available to view online. To do so please visit the development page you are interested in and follow the page through to your chosen house style. If you have any issues please contact one of our New Homes Managers. 

Yes. Please contact the New Homes Manager on your chosen development and they will advise you of the next step to do so remotely online via our 'reserve online button' found on each page. Please note: we do have a range of house styles available to view via our video links on each development page. If you have trouble locating any of these, please contact our New Homes Manager for your chosen development who will happily navigate you to our content. 

Yes. Although we are currently not in a position to show you all of our available samples in person, we can still discuss your options and run through costs. Please contact the New Homes Manager on your chosen development and they will be happy to help.

Yes. We will continue to keep in contact with marketing agents and update you accordingly as and when we have updates.

Yes. Please continue to progress your sale and purchase with the advice given from your New Homes Manager.

We understand that you may be worried about the current situation having an impact on the build of your new home. Whilst current guidance permits some construction sites to continue, we have taken the decision to temporarily  close our construction sites in the interest of public health and the well-being of our employees, customers and sub contractors. As the health and safety of our customers and staff is extremely important to us and we are continuing to monitor the situation and have no update on when we may re-open for construction.

Our New Homes Managers will continue to provide relevant updates when/if necessary on your expected completion date. However, if you do wish to discuss this at any time please visit our key contacts page.

Like many businesses across the UK, Gentoo Homes are closely monitoring the Coronavirus (Covid – 19) outbreak and are following advice from the Government.

We would like to reassure our customers that we are working hard to continue to deliver our services in a safe and efficient manor.

The health and safety of our customers, colleagues and sub-contractors is of paramount importance to us and we continue to monitor the situation closely while following the government and public health guidelines.

While we continue to operate a usual service, to help us reduce any risk or spread of the virus we are taking extra precautions. 

The Customer Care team will be calling ahead of all appointments to confirm appointments and will be asking:

  • Have you tested positive for Coronavirus
  • Are you currently self-isolating
  • Are you showing any symptoms of Coronavirus, such as a new or persistent cough, a fever, or have shortness of breath

Gentoo Homes are currently operating a normal service, however this may change at any point as the Coronavirus situation is complex and evolving rapidly. We will therefore continue to monitor the situation and provide updates relating to our approach as and when advised.  Please refer to our website/this web page for up to date information.

Gentoo Homes Customer Care Team are currently working remotely between the hours of 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Thursday, and 8.30am until 12 noon on a Friday.  A member of the team will call you following your email to customercare@gentoohomes.com.  If you need to speak to a member of the team please call 07736028742 or 07435973798 which will put you in direct communication with one of our Customer Care Managers.

Should you require emergency help outside these hours please contact Safeguard Call Handling Services on 01207 503293.

An emergency consists of the following:-

  • Uncontainable water.
  • Total loss of heating and/or hot water (seasonal).
  • Total loss of electricity (other than a power cut).
  • Blocked drains causing a hazard to health and not caused by domestic products.
  • Failure of a lock causing safety issue and not caused maliciously.


Safeguard Call Handling Services will take any necessary action following your call and inform the Customer Care Team.

If you smell gas, please contact Transco immediately on 0800 111999.  Then report the issue to Gentoo Homes as above.
