Prudhoe Christmas tree festival

  • 11th December 2018

We are delighted to announce that through our community fund scheme we were able to sponsor the winning prizes for this years Prudhoe Christmas tree festival in aid of Age UK Northumberland.

The festival took place in St. Mary Magdalene Church and Prudhoe Methodist Church a few miles down the road from our Cottier Grange development . A range of local businesses took part in the event decorating their own tree to represent their brand which created a festive display for the the general public to enjoy between Friday 30 November and Saturday 1 December. Those that attended were given the opportunity to vote for their favorite tree which resulted in Highfields Middle school taking the top prize of £50 and both Mini Me Hair and Beauty and Prudhoe Brownies and Guides taking the runner up spots and receiving £25 each.

The local family orientated day was an excellent way of helping to raise money and awareness of those suffering from loneliness, an issue that affects more than 5000 elderly people in Northumberland alone. This is an issue that is more prevalent than ever around the festive period.

Alone we can make a difference. Together we can make a change.
